We are a small family-run company based in Faulkland, Somerset, distributing conventionally-grown fruit and veg boxes around the south of Bath. We aim to supply the best and freshest produce to your door at the most competitive price.
I started faulkland veg when my friends and neighbours began complaining about the disappointing quality and extravagant prices of supermarket produce. We’d all heard horror stories about the supermarket giants driving growers and small retailers out of business. Many people wanted more local produce in an attempt to reduce food miles and support British farming. Our tiny local cooperative took off, and now faulkland veg can deliver best quality seasonal produce direct to your door. No cardboard for us – your veg comes in reusable, folding plastic crates to minimise waste. We don’t try to supply all-organic, as there are plenty of big businesses out there already doing that very well. We’re for saving you money while supplying the best quality. After all, I feed this stuff to my own kids, so it’s got to be good!
All our fruit and veg comes from Bristol Fruit Market, where we have access to a huge range of items, some from the farthest flung corners of the world. So while we prefer local produce, you will also receive some of the tasty, healthy goodies you need to meet your 5-a-day requirements. We aim for at least 12 different items each week, so you get a good variety, although this is dependent on the price of items available. I can make substitutions of items if there is something you don't like - for example, if your kids won't eat sprouts, let me know and the dreaded sprouts can be replaced with a more child-friendly alternative.
